Im about to buy an 88 Firebird that is supposed to be a formula 350. The VIN # 1g2fs21522jl234354 says that it is a firebird v6. It has a tpi v8. It has a formula hood with the 5.7 l emmissions sticker. 140 mph speedometer. Rear spoiler.

as long as the VIN on the car matches the VIN on the title and it doesn't look like the VIN tag on the car has been swapped, i'd say to get it since you'd get to pay a V6 insurance rate on a V8 powered car...
