i have a question

i have a question. i moved to oregon from canada. when icame across the border, customs was supposed to give me a letter stating that my camaro passed united states emissions. but they didnt. and now i need one so i can register my car here. does anyone have any idea where i might be able to get the letter. customs said i can get it at any chevrolet dealership, but i called a few in oregon and they said they cant. any help would be appreciated.
thanks in advance

Try going to a DEQ testing station. Where in Oregon are you located? Come over the the Cascade Crew forum and say Hi!

Where you are located in Oregon makes a difference, as only the major metro areas are required to pass emissions testing. As for the certification, the Department of Motor Vehicles can tell you exactly where to get what you need. If they don't, talk to someone else there (like a supervisor). DEQ can run a test on your car for free to let you know if it passes the sniffer or emissions test. It only costs if you are getting the certificate. Visual underhood inspections aren't done after the car is 8 years old, but may still need to be done in your case the first time. If the problem is with Chevrolet, call the regional office (you can get the number from a dealer) for help.

Cool, let me know if you come up. BTW, we are having a gathering this weekend in Vancouver. Go to the Cascade Crew board for details.
