RPO Interior Help??
I have a 1987 GTA, after finding out that the Gunmetal Metallic for my car is somewhat uncommon (1of 828) I was curious to find out if my interior RPO's would make it even less common, I found a thread on here that listed all the interior RPO's except mine, (82D). I'll post the Build sheet, hopefully someone can help me out with decoding this!
So far I know this about the car: It was manufactured at the Norwood plant, non T-Tops,
B20- custom trim group (don't understand this one)
DG7- Sport Electric Power Mirrors
J65- 4 Wheel disc brakes
AQ9- Articulating Bucket seats
87U- Gunmetal Metallic (1 of 828)
82D- Dark Grey Interior

Re: RPO Interior Help??
The GTAs came loaded with many options as standard. The 1987, first year for the GTA, is the only year where a GTA could have been ordered with very few options. From 1988-1992, GTAs were generally loaded with only a few options that could be added. They all had the AQ9 seats, they all had the DG7 mirrors (except for some early few or exported ones that had DD9 paddle mirrors), they all had the B20 interior trim. They all had the WS6 suspension. It starts to come down to personal preference items, such as colors, T-Tops or not, 350 or 305 5/speed (assuming you didn't want credit for the 305/Auto), etc. There was some options on the GTA that might make it more "rare" than the next, such as the Notchback option (1988), the Turbo Trans Am (1989), or smaller things such as the CD player (1989+), digital cluster (1987*-1988).
What you posted is not the buildsheet but instead is the SPID. Buildsheet is about the size of a normal copy paper with all RPO codes, such as what the SPID shows, along with dealership order/ship information and other assembly codes.

Re: RPO Interior Help??
IMO the rarest GTA I have seen IN PERSON was a 1987 Russet brown (UPS brown) L98, Hardtop, Digital dash, with DD9 Mirrors !!! Almost fell on the ground when I saw it !! lol
Old lady was driving it in a $$$ town in Oklahoma city.
And yes, I asked her if it was for sale and she politely said "No" walked away into bank
