1992 Z28 Heritage Z03 L98, trying to track down production #'s
I just purchased a 1992 Z28 Camaro with the Z03 Heritage package and the L98 (350 TPI engine). The car is 100% bone stock & 100% factory complete and in great condition with low miles and only 2 prior owners.
I am trying to track down how many of these they made.
I did a little research and found that there were 322 white heritage edition hardtop or T-top cars produced in 1992 but they had many different options 3 different interior colors, and 305 or 350, hardtop or t-top. Is there anything out there that shows a better breakdown?
I looked at the sticky posted and it says only 571 Z03's came with L98 which I find very hard to believe..
10-15 years ago I was very active in this forum but unfortunately moved on to other toys, Always kept my IROC and still have it, excited to add another one to the stable and hopefully get back interested in these cars a little bit.

Also I would like to know where I can get replacement documentation on the car, like window sticker, build sheet data, etc

Not really. Officially, no one ever kept track of option combinations. The closest thing are invoice information that GM kept in a database. The website Compnine can be used to sort through invoices and count options, and sometimes option combinations. The catch with that, is the algorithm their software uses hasn't always been the most accurate, the database isn't necessarily complete, or accurate. So what you end up with, is an educated guess. Make up a number, or consult a psychic, get a Voodoo priestess to read the chicken bones, the results are just as scientific and concrete.
As far as duplicate original documentation, the only accurate source is to obtain a copy of the original invoice through GM or whoever they currently trust with the data. As far as build sheets, you've got whatever is still in the car, same with SPIDs and window stickers. You can have them reproduced with info from the invoice, but the chance that they'll be accurate is pretty slim.
My 91 RS convertible is 1 of 5 with the coveted factory optioned block heater! Pretty cool right? Makes it like a Hemi 'Cuda or some shiz. Not really though, it's just a Camaro. Take any run of the mill thirdgen and break it down by the numbers, and they're all 1 of 10 or less.

window-sticker.com can reproduce the window sticker as accurately as possible now, but they need a copy of the original invoice. There are enough people on this forum to help them get the accuracy nailed down. To get the invoice, you need to contact GM Media Archives.
