Date coded Radiator hose
I have a date coded original upper radiator hose that I am replacing since I am changing the thermostat and I like to drive to my car without worrying about blowing a hose. For someone looking for a concourse resto, it came from my 88 L98 and is coded December of 1987. I know its a 30 year old radiator hose, but I thought I would put it out there and see if someone wanted it. Just cover shipping. The lower is also likely original, but I have not been able to find dates on it. I can get some pictures if anyone is interested.

Re: Date coded Radiator hose
I still have mine as well, on the car. But like Hawgtied, I'd like to change them due to age.
What I'd like to do is reproduce the markings. But I've had a hell of a time finding any detailed info. on this on any auto forum. I know people are doing it, but they guard their how-to secrets quite closely. Hoses, plug wires, radiator...I'd like to be able to re-mark new replacements.

Re: Date coded Radiator hose
I got to change the original date-coded upper hose on the Iroc because a previous owner changed out the wire hose clamps for worm gear clamps. 30 years on, the compression marks in the rubber from the mismatched clamps was a no-go after changing back. Fortunately found a correctly dated OE hose on Ebay that was within a few months of correct.
I've yet to blow an original upper or lower rad hose on a thirdgen. Maybe it's just luck?
