Re: Article listing all the IROC Cars
I saw that tiday and corrected story about the TBI producing 215 hp. I got reprimanded from other reader twice. Oh well. Good article but Hagerty articles always have had tons of mistakes.

I know it's just a silly click bait article, but it still annoys me when some goober doesn't know what they're talking about. It gets a bit tiresome when we're this far along and these authors are still making the same kinds of mistakes they made 20 years ago.

When I saw 1984-1989 Iroc, I had to double take. Yes, I know that is when Chevrolet licensed the name, but it doesn't coordinate to the years the Camaro had an Iroc-Z designation, so it should not read that way in the headline!

Re: Article listing all the IROC Cars
Production started in 1984, as a 1985 model... Just like in 1990, they did not run the 1990 IROC-Z, but the Dodge, yet we have 1990 IROC-Z's
It is a matter of semantics, but technically not wrong...

Re: Article listing all the IROC Cars
I would prefer they use the model year, myself.
BTW - my IROC-Z was first sold on Dec. 1st 1984 (I have all the paper work) ... which was 35 years ago last Sunday.
The car has an '84 build date and a first sold date of '84, but it's an '85 as far as I'm concerned. They still look great!

Re: Article listing all the IROC Cars
Drew, the 215 HP is only when equipped with 1LE.
Haggerty's stories are frequently horrible. It really decreases my opinion of Haggerty on the whole.

Re: Article listing all the IROC Cars
Oh, you must mean TBI + 1LE = underrated? Gotcha.
Is it OK to disassociate Haggerty as a business from Haggerty as a website? What I mean is like The Weather Channel vs Weather.com. Their weather forecast by and large is A-OK, but their website is a cess pool of click bait garbage. One obviously cheapens the other, but if you disregard the corny website...
