My vote too goes for the 1973-74 Super Duty 455. IMO, I know that there are a lot of great engines in that list, but the SD455 Trans Am is still regarded as the last of the great musclecars. The LS1 and some of the others are fantastic performers, but they have all been developed in an era where technology and performance has been on a general increase virtually year-to-year.
The SD455 was developed in an era where performance was sliding "off the charts" fast, and Pontiac managed to "fudge" on some details (like claiming the engine was just an update of the regular 455.... snicker
) and get this engine released to the public in a time of intensive CAFE and government legislation.
Nothing else in 1973 was running 13.54 in the 1/4 mile at 105 mph, that's for sure.

Since this is thirdgen.org and the only two engines you listed that are thirdgen related are the L98 and the TTA engine, this thread will only further a conflicting debate that doesnt really have anything to do with the topics that belong here.
Nethirdgen.org would probably be a better place to post this kind of poll.
