New poster here, Im not goin to ask everyone how rare my car is to see if its worth $$. Ive always wanted a 3rd Gen GTA and I got one. Lately Ive been hearing its possibly unique and with the package it came from the factory with only about 300 other GTA's came equipped with the motor/trans/rear/t-top combo in 1989.

I dont care about the value Id just like to know if its indeed unique... Thx Friends

Where are you located cause there is a GTA just like yours around here, KY.

 

As always there aren't any good numbers for Pontiacs, and there will never be numbers on option combinations. So you could find out how many GTA's had 5.0's, or you could find out how many 5 speeds were available in 89, or you could find out how many firebirds had ttops, but you can't find out how many had both options in the same car.

That said, 5spd V8 thirdgens are in the minority. Enjoy the car for what it is, keep it nice and it'll be worth as much as you want it to be.

 

I live near Ann Arbor Michigan, I bought the car in southern Indiana. On my way back to Michigan I stopped for a bite to eat and a guy asked me about the car, saying he owned one just like it, he even offered to buy it from me, he said the production numbers for the 5.0/5spd in 89 were low.

Im just glad to own a late 80's GTA now, if it were a low production version, well thats a bonus.
