1982 Z28 Indy pace car Hard top

I have seen plenty of 1982 Z28 Indy pace cars with t-tops, are there any that were made in a hard top verison?

Good question... the actual pace car that paced the race had the ttops, so.... maybe maybe not... hehehe I'm sure someone knows, but that someone isn't me.

yep, I almost bought one instead of the rs, but the dealorship was asking 8000 a couple years ago, I new it was different cause the next car show I went to had only t-tops on 4 82 pace cars.

The hardtop Pace Car was available. Rumor has it that only 100 cars were built w/o TTops. CC1 was an option that almost everyone got. The hardtop was standard.

Thanks, for the info. I like the t-tops but they seam to leak, plus the hardtop probably has less
body flex. I'll keep my eyes open for one.

I have had 4 3rg gen cars. 3 of them had ttops and I never had a problem with leaks. If they are adjusted correctly and the seals are good, and the door doesn't sag, they won't leak. You aren't supposed to hit the seal with direct water pressure. A car wash and direct pressure will cause a leak. TTops are nice!!
