I bought a 1990 Camaro today that appears to have all the IROCZ stuff on it. But the codes say "PF2" 15x7" wheels. I thought they all had 16" wheels. How can I tell if it is, or is not, an IROCZ?

Thanx,ANDYZ28

yeah they had the 15x7 wheel that was styled like the 16x8 wheels. It should have the Z28 rpo if its an IROC

Yeah, It has the "Z28". But "16P" WHEEL COLOR,BRT WHITE. The wheels on the car are 16" Grey (sort of)?

Also the weird thing is that someone removed the manual trans and installed a Turbo 350. Race type converter and all.

I dont know. Maybe someone else can help with this one. I know that the non-G92 IROCs could have the 15x7 IROC wheels. What is your exterior color?

Is B4Z in your RPO codes? Do you have the yellow half moon gauges?

You won't have B4Z in a 90. B4z was the IROC package on the Z28 cars. When the Z was dropped in 88, the RPO for an IROC was Z28.

In 1990 every camaro was either a RS or an IrocZ. 7?? would be a spring code

The RPO code 7XV was not in the thirdgen data base. I do have spring codes: 6XU,7XV?,8NL,9NL. i doulble checked the 7XV and it is what is on the info tag in the console. So I don't understand that.

6?? and 7?? are the front springs, if your 7VX was in the rpo decoder it would say 7VX : spring, computer selected.

BTW either your 6UX is a 6VX or your 7VX is a 7UX. In general front springs are usually matched, same with the rear. In some odd cases the left and right wont match but its fairly uncommon. I'd say the reason that the code isn't listed is because its an uncommon spring set due to the fact its an Iroc with the tiny wheels. If I remember I'll take a look at my spring chart and let you know what other cars use those springs.

FWIW the rear springs (NNL) are typical and extremely common as they were used on F41 and FE2 equipped cars.
