Hi all
I am an IROC fanatic (1987 TPI IROC). I was wondering if anybody has original photos of IROCs at car shows/dealer that they took back in the 80s when these cars were the craze??? Does any original owner have a picture of they brand spanking new car. I occasionally see "classic" pictures of famous muscle cars back in the day at dealers i.e. GTOS, BOSS Mustangs, Chevelles...but I haven't seen any of IROCs at annual car shows.

No, not IROCs but I did shoot some new '92s in a row. They were all RS's though. The dealerships here only once had a new Z28 ('91) in stock and I didn't get any footage of it. Darnit!

 

I recall going to the annual car show at the convention center back in 1987 and recall seeing IROC CAMAROS. I thought I would get lucky because my buddy who went with me always takes pictures....no luck...he only had 3 pics of the "then newer" Farrari Testerossa---form that show way back when... yellow and one red one. Darnit!!!


My brother tells me that he recalls a Chevy Commercial that featured a RED 89 or 90 IROC turning the corner...and Micheal Jordan passing the ball...then a passing shot of an IROC running down an alley. I have never seen this...but if it exits...it would really strick gold in the hearts of us IROC a holics.

70Firebird, I've got exactly what you want. I started shooting these cars in April 1986. But I don't have a friggin' scanner! I just wish I would have started earlier, say 1984, when the H.O. Z28's were popular.
