Anyone out there have the original Delco all pushbutton radio (no *****). I've got one, and I'm looking for a little history on the unit. My radio guy says that this radio was recalled in "86 or '87 due to problems with the buttons on the left side of the radio. He was very suprised to see one still around, but that he had a fix for the original problem. Mine was broke and did not work at all, he got the unit up and working real well. Been good for about two years now. I've seen at least one other in a picture on one of the threads, I believe it was in Vadar's car. I'd like to here from anyone else with the same Unit it was called the "ETR touch control stereo/cassette/equalizer". RPO Code UT4......

They were used a lot in the high end cars, and with steering wheel radio controls...

Hey Drew, Are you talking about 1986? Did they have steering wheel radio controls in "86. How about later years? I was of the understanding that they did not make the unit anymore after '86/'87......thanks for the reply

Pretty sure they were around longer then that... steering wheel radio controls were used from 88-89 in the GTA.

I beleive 89 was the last year for that unit along with 3rd gen SWC's.

I think the pushbutton radios started in 85 and ended in 89, although it could have been later than that. For sure those years had them. The radio controls in the wheel I think were only available in 88 and 89.
