Prices !

I have a suggestion to all that are on this site buying and selling parts or whatever.
We do very well here in the helping each other fix things dept. But when we talk about our $ we let the greed fly. Lets price fair and not try to rip each other or gouge everything.
Reading some of the posts a select few have a hooray for me and screw you attitude.
Why don't we all try to keep prices down and fair. Realize that it may benifit you sometimes when you are on the other side of the deal purchasing an item you need or really want.
If it's in my garage and I ain't using it or going to, And you need it: SOLD! It wasn't doing me any good anyway and I didn't make a dime while it's sitting there. Getting only what you paid or sometimes less will come back to you.
I am in no way speaking to the individuals that I have spoken with or inquired purchasing merchandise from. This is just an observation from searching some posts. I have not personally had any bad experiences with anyone.
The problem I do have is there are some people that think everything should be priced for their retirement. I realize that making a buck is the object for some people, but some shipping costs that the buyer pays adds to the overall cost.
Driving the parts prices up will not make our cars worth more when we can't afford to fix them.
Lets think long term and help others help ourselves.
Can ya tell I don't own an oil company? LOL!

it would be nice, very nice, but it'll never happen. Whenever I sell something i usually let them make me an offer as to what they want to pay. I factor shipping into it also as long as it doesn't pull from my pocket i'm fine.

100% agree.

And another thing I think should be done to make it easier on the seller, is to just post the pictures in thier thread, instead of saying they will e-mail them to someone.

Because for me, as I am sure other people as well, it's too much hassle to wait on an e-mail that will just get sent to my junk folder with 100's of e-mails already in it, and then try to dig through them and find it. Posting pictures in the thread is so much easier.

And for those that think you can only attach the pictures, sign up at Free Image and Video Hosting - Photo Image Hosting Site : Photobucket.com and get a hosting account so you can put up multiple pictures in the thread.

I think this thread should be stickied, would be a great idea.

Thanks for speaking up guys! Currently 43 reads and only 2 replies, so whatever that means, I appreciate the replies.
I agree about the posting pics here instead of email. My junk box is full everyday, and I have no idea what the email address is of the 3rd gen person that is sending me pics that I requested whenever. Unless they fill in the subject field with something that gets my attention ( Not something like: "Viagra Cheapest on the net!") . Click Delete to that every time! Heck Yea!
87CIZ, I like the shipping included thing. It can be a roll of the dice or 50/50 shipping. That is fair. Why should the seller profit and not pay any shipping? When I place a classified ad in the paper, it costs me a minor fee. The normal here is scott free to the seller and stick the buyer. The transaction should be shared as custom, not the reverse. That would in fact reduce the price itself to the buyer automatic. Everybodys happy. In turn when you purchase, you get the same custom returned. Wouldn't you want to buy more? I would. Everyone is so " I want my stuff, somebody has to pay shipping". It has become custom and expected.
If you buy and sell used for a living or out of greed, I am sorry and mean no disrespect. I only hope that you sell more. That makes us all happy. More and nicer 3rd generations runnin around.
