Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
Turns out Formula is just overwhelmed as Ed1LE said in the previous post. Got my kit over the weekend and installed it right away! Works great!
A bit of a tight fit due to my cup holder but managed to get everything put in. I purchased the auto up and auto down kit so its prob a little bulkier too.
My windows went from an avg of 5.5 secs to roll up and down on both the drivers and passengers side and now both sides are up and down in a little under 3.5!!!
Auto up and down is an amazing feature too especially considering how big these windows are. No more holding the buttons for 6 seconds; just one click and boom
Highly recommend the kit. Just be patient. I would def grab another

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
knocking off 2 full seconds is pretty good! Thanks for the compliments-I’m caught up on all orders at the moment...I’ve been building these for 77-up trucks, 78-88 gbodies, 70-81 fbodies with retro-fitted power windows...the list is ever growing! But it all started with the 3rd gen kits!

I've ordered mine over a month ago and still haven't received my PW kit so just be aware it doesn't come quick. I've sent a few PMs asking about status haven't heard anything yet.

hmmmm, I'd be interested, but it sounds like there may be some hiccups.... Maybe look into making my own....

Just as a note I did receive my kit last weekend. It took over a month to arrive but it is high quality and will be finishing the install this weekend.

Let me know if you want to make an extra set (if you decide to make them), I can't even get a reply to a PM to order these, and would love to have faster windows that had auto on them!

When did you try last? Try again, he answered me same day. Next time I message him I'll mention it.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
Well I placed an order on the 4th of April for the basic relay kit, sent a message on the 18th and haven't been able to get any updates. After reading through this thread more; its apparent you need to pack your patience because communication is sparse

I ordered 1 at the beginning of the month and he told me that they are running about 3 to 4 weeks out from after you order it. He says he does many different types, not just thirdgens. I'm just glad he does them.

I think i ordered on the 4th of April, have to check to be sure, but no kit either. I did PM him for an update yesterday but havent heard back yet. So what's that, about 40 days?

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
I only got a response when I emailed the paypal email. I also gave them a date when I was going to issue a claim if I didn't hear anything.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
I have pm'd him three times with no response and of course nothing from here or anyone else i see. Its amazing when i asked someone else in this thread if they would make me one, he immediately pm'd me. Guess we'll have to go the file with paypal route...
Too bad.
Too bad.

Yea... this is taking way longer than the others, like he dropped off the earth. A little communication would have helped, i know first hand things come up, but this is ridiculous. At this point i would tell anyone thinking about one of these to not do it. I dont think anyone will get what they paid for. We'll see how much effort this will be to go after him for the money. Thanks for the hassle, i really needed it right now. Maybe we need to start another thread to warn anyone else.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
I was having some issues with my Kit, I reached out to him via PM, and he provided me an e-mail address where I could send him a video to better diagnose the problem. This was his reply, “I want to send you a replacement module and see if that fixes the issue-very odd.” I’ve never heard back... This was back in March I’ve sent numerous emails and PM’s to no avail.

Thanks guys!! I’ve been sidetracked extending my 73-87 truck harness business to include various year plug n play dual battery isolation kits so I’ve been spending a lot of time on an assortment of vehicle harness mock-ups too.

Keep in mind too-try to route the modules behind the radio pod area whenever possible-I know its cramped as it is but it’s worth taking the time to route it all carefully.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
Figured I’d throw this out there.
Like many any others here I have not got my kit yet.
Turn around time was 3 weeks. I’m at 4 weeks now, I have sent a message and got no reply back.
I was getting replies until I actually sent the money on paypal. Lol.
I guess we will see when it comes, if it comes.

Keep in mind, replying to messages and posting to this thread takes him away from actually making your harness.
So, chill a little bit , work on some other to-do on your car, and/or put another coat of wax on, and next thing you know, you'll have a package in your mail box.
(For the emoji impaired; No, this is not meant as a rip on you. Maybe this will help the next guy not stress so much when this custom fabbed part takes a little longer than RIGHT NOW! )

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
OK, finally got around to installing this kit on my 4th gen. Here's my review. Like others, I had to wait for the kit which I was ready to do. The kit was very well made, very high quality. Installation instructions were not included, it's up to you to figure out where everything goes. I ended up stuffing all components in the drivers side foot well. I could not see installing it in the center console. I had to extend wiring over to the passenger side. The kit came with new connectors for each window but trying to fish them through the oem rubber tubing to the doors seemed impossible. I ended up cutting them off and ran the wires through the rubber tubing to the door and then spicing the wires into the original wires to the oem connectors. It was not an easy install but the results are amazing. Both windows fly up and down and the one touch express works amazing. I would highly recommend the kit.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
Awesome reply! As you stated, your kit was for a 4th gen and there really isnt a plug n play kit available for those as I have for the 3rd gen guys/gals.
The fact the 4th gens have switches located in each door make the install a bit more involved. Installing them in the consoles of the 3rd gems makes more sense. Those 4th gen windows are HEAVY so this kit really helps move them by the sheer design of the kit-really happy you have great results! Can you share a video of your window speed perhaps? I think a lot of folks might be on the fence about this kind of mod but I can tell ya once you have it and are used to it, you’ll want auto down/up in everything!

Where do I attach the loose wires and where do I attach the wires in the white connector? I know what to do with the ground. Thanks.

Its labelled on there-your OE switch connector ends mate up with that white connector using the 6-cavity connector supplied, and the loose terminated ends are your new switch connector leads.

Re: power window relay kit EASY to install!
One of my relay terminals was not seated in the relay. In the process of trying to seat it, I bent it and broke it trying to seat it properly. What terminals do I need to order to fix this issue, and what gauge is the wire?
