little pricey but it is for the whole kit. or if you already have the cable kit just e-mail or call Bruce and see if he would sell just the latch itself. I paid $150 for my stuff but I still have the old linkage rod setup only used on the 87 and early 88's from what I've seen so far. hope this helps

Well, $250 for the release kit is a blind robbery. 
I made my own release mechanism from scrap metal and spare A/T kickdown cable. Cost: $0. Time spent: 1hr.

yeah it is definitely high but if going for original there isn't much of a choice. I had to pay $250 for the 20th anniversary map pocket for my 87 iroc vert too so I definitely know how much it all cost and like it or not if you don't pay it someone else will get it from them anyway.
