Need dumb little electrical piece from (GTA-only???) steering column
OK, this might be a long shot, but what the hell, here goes...
I've added a new steering wheel to my GTA which replaced the original that had the steering-wheel-mounted stereo controls. I really don't want to cut up the original stuff that I have, so I'm looking for another piece that I can use (I know there are GTAs out there that are already in less-than-perfect condition).
What I need is what appears to be the horn ground wire & connector - it's a black wire that goes first through a small spring, & then through a small black plastic "barrel" that has a small post that comes out at a 90-deg. angle (see picture). To disconnect that wire from the steering column, you grab the barrel, push in slightly, & then rotate it to allow the barrel's post to be removed from the matching groove in the column. Once you do that, you can pull back, or release the barrel, as the spring will push it out, & the whole piece is then released.
I need the spring, the barrel, & enough wire to connect to the existing wire for the steering wheel. If anyone can give me a line on where to get this, I'd be really appreciative.
NOTE: I'm not accustomed to checking this forum, so if I don't respond to your reply in this thread, it might not be a bad idea to send me a PM.
Thanks in advance guys.

if what you are asking is for the horn wire then you can grab that from any gm car. I know I have some around here but it would be just as easy to run into a salvage yard find some pos gm car and remove the wire, spring and such.
