Need an 83 Firebird S/E Auto Shifter Assembly ASAP!!

I don't know much about the Birds but read in another thread that the shifters for 85 and up changed so I'm guessing 82-84 birds use the same shifter??

Need one ASAP!!

FYI

I removed the ash tray from my 83 and looked at the park Lock cable connction. There is a metal "hook" on the shifter that is activated by the Park Lock Cable. The shifter being auctioned doesn't have this hook on it.

The one pictured in that auction was removed from an 84 Firebird. It appears to be exactly the same as the original shifter in my 84. It is not the same as an 83 shifter.

Double check the shifter in your car to be sure your not thowing your $$ away !!!
