Hi, I'm relatively new to the message boards on Third Gen and doing a mild restoration on a 1984 TA. The car is missing the small **** that should sit atop the post for the trip odometer. I've not had luck at nearby salvage/u-pull-it yards or the web, so if anyone knows where I could locate this piece, I'd greatly appreciate it. Photo below shows my speedometer (missing ****). Thanks!

They're actually the same on 2nd Gens, but in black, so you can look on other cars as well, and paint it. Dont forget the very small nut that comes with it !

Thanks for the info about 2d gens - very helpful! There is an 81 project car not far from me in rough shape, so I'll see what is left of it.

This is what your looking for -
ACDELCO Part # 14053344
Just do a search on google. I bought mine from Rock Auto.
The package came with two slightly different length chrome ***** and one screw/nut to hold it on.

It would have originally been black

Thanks, I was wondering about that. Now I'll have to paint it.

Says you have a 1985, I am not sure if they were black. I only know a 84 was black originally because I bought a 84 brand new.
