Need a steering column to fit my 90 350, 5.7 v-8, automatic Formula. It is my understanding that for compatibility, any column from the years 90-92 should work. Needs to be excellent condition, with no "play" in it-needs to be tight. My car won't pass inspection due to wobbliness. I read this unfortunately is a common issue with3rd gens, so I have to make sure what I buy doesn't present the same issue.Please contact me if you can help!

Thank you for this information. Unfortunately I am relying on a mechanic to diagnose and hopefully fix since I am in no way mechanically inclined.

From what I understand, tightening the bolts did not fix it. He is saying that a pin may have snapped, or possibly something cracked on the inside. He is suppose to tear it down further for more evaluation, but suggested tonight that another steering column may be in order if I can find it. So I am trying to search and do my best if if this is not fixable.

I'm reading through your thread I am hoping that the oversize steering column pivot pin could be a solution. I will consult with him and share that information.

I inherited this car from my late nephew. It was his first car, and it's been a 4 +year journey, with many trials and tribulations to get it to this point. A lot of money invested, but it's been a labor of love, not common sense.
