I've had that wheel for a long time but I believe it's the "collector". Might want to doublecheck though. It's also got the anti-theft kit on it so it can be removed

Looks sweet. Thats the same color the interior is on my '91 Z.

I was considering replacing the carpet in my car. Mind if I ask where you scored yours at?. I was also wondering how much of a difference you noticed with roadnoise and such after you installed the dynamat.

Finished product is excellent, good work!

I have the anti-theft also, but run a different wheel, I liked the looks of your wheel enough to check their website but it doesn't seem like they make it anymore

All of that looks very familiar. I just did the same thing to mine, but with grey and custom leather. I usually have not liked that color interior, but it looks very classy when new, and clean. The Dynamat was the worst part about mine, that stuff cuts the crap out of your hands if you don't get every single barb down perfect .

Carpeting is ACC brand from Year One. Definitely a good fit although I've heard other brands may have a higher thread count. My car is show only so I'm not worried about it wearing down too fast. The Dynamat definitely makes a huge difference with the roadnoise. The car is much quieter and almost feels more solid because of it. Acousticaly I can't give you much of an opinion as I don't have the ear for that type of thing.

BadNBlack I agree with you on the cuts on the hands from the Dynamat....next time I'm wearing gloves.

Looking at your pics makes me want to get rid of my black interior and convert back to my original doeskin interior! Nice!

That looks great. Where did you get the carpet for the plastics and how well does it match the ACC carpet? Also, what did you use to paint the dash? Everything looks very nice, great job!

I ordered the carpeting off of someone on Ebay and honestly it's not even a close match. Although with the plastics being a different color anyway it still looks good. It's a nice two-tone look. Only thing I don't like is that I covered the sub box with it and that looks different which wasn't the look I wanted for that.

The dash was painted with SEM brand paint....Landau Black was the exact color.

SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Looks Awesome!

Did you paint all the plastics? If so, how was the prep? Did you use spray cans? Also, did you replace the foam in the seats?

Once again, looks great.

Yes I painted the plastics with SEM paint also. Prep was very easy. I only replaced one piece of the seat foam. Most of my foam was in great shape so I built up a few areas that were beat up and I got a good used piece to replace my lower driver seat one.

All of the steps will be outlined in Chevy Rumble in a month or two as I just submitted the story to them.

I had thought about changing over to black but I decided to stay with the stock color for originality purposes. Plus I figured the black would be even hotter in the summer with the t-tops and so forth.

You wouldn't happen to know roughly how much weight was added to your car by installing the dynomat would you?

Ya know, for those of us trying to save a few lbs at the track, lol.

First I cleaned them with soap and water, then used SEM's Plastic and Leather Prep spray.

Yes....I actually threw a box of it onto my bathroom scale before I installed it. One Bulk Pak with the box weighs about 25lbs. I used 3 boxes so I'm figuring I added about 70lbs to the vehicle weight.
