Hatch Switch
Ok I've redone my interior and in the mist of putting everything back together I've lost the plug for the hatch release button. Anyone know where it is?????

If you're talking about the console mounted switch then the conector may have slipped down along the inside of the console. If you have your shift plate in place it'll be easier if you remove it to look under it.On my '83 it's wrapped with the harness for the window switchs and the clock connector.

If just taking the shifter/ashtry section off doesn't help you still don't have to take the wholle console out.The hatch switch is a pain because it's 2 separate plugs instead of being 1 solid one like for the window switchs.Remove the 6 bolts,at the console compartment that secure the upper console. This will allow you to lift it up enough to check if the hatch connector may be trapped under it. I did the same thing.I believe the factory secured the combined harness to the back of the shifter base.At least I did with a couple cable ties.

Oh ok. I was looking for one plug. I found the harness that the window plugs come from and it seems like thats all thats there. I have found two plugs that is from the front of the console. Could this be them? I can tell you one thing I'll never do this again. This is driving me crazy..........
Thanks for all your help.

Glad to be of some help. The plugs for the hatch switch are unusual and they only fit the switch and the wire colors are orange and brown(I'm sorry I should have stated this before). The wire color and try the plugs on your hatch switch are the way to tell.
