coin do what i did, i cut a pas side bolster off of a seat and cut the worn out dr side bolster level and glued the bolster to the seat. it takes a tad bit of measuring but for me it worked great.
the seat cover holds everything in place so there isnt much worry of the transplanted bolster going anywhere. also you cant tell the seat had been worked after i was finished.

unfortunatly thats the only solution unless you find an excellent seat with good almost light yellow colored foam or NOS seats. the more dark yellow or brownish it turns the more likely it is to break down sooner. the more white it is the better condition the foam is in.

A good upholstry guy can fabricate the foam. My foam was trashed and when I had my seats recovered the guy rebuilt all the foam padding.

Check Classic Industries. They might have something for the 84 style seats.
I'm not sure when the "reticulated" seats like mine were introduced, but
after taking one apart, I can understand why there's no replacement foams
available. The foam is formed onto the metal support pans. I wound up
ebay-ing some earlier seats, and adapting the closest looking buns available
from Classic. Sewing up the covers has been OBE. Good luck, kk.

Re: seat foam
Just out of curiosity, how much did that set you back? I've been thinking of getting the padding for my front seats swapped out and possibly even added to.

Re: seat foam
When I redid the seats in my 89, I went to JoAnn's and bought a 2 1/2 yard roll of high density foam, 1 1/2" thick IIRC. Then I cut square pieces out to glue to the various panels on the seats. I was able to cover everything except the upper center panel of each front seat with that one roll. Cost me about $20 at the time. Here's how they looked before I put the new covers on.

This is how the side bolster looked originally, the bottom piece looked as bad.
