84 Z28 seat problem

well on my passeger seat anybody who sits down falls back haha kinda funny, but i would like to know if anybody has had that problem and knows how to fix it. kinda ebarassing when i go out on a date lol but i just lower my back seat so it can prevent the passenger seat to go all the way down.

You need to remove the trim and replace the mechanisms from donor seats.

I have the exact same problem. Can the just the mechanism be replaced/swapped or is it a complete trim swap?

L_H: The latch mechanism for reclining seats is pretty universal
across a wide set of year models -- 82 -> ??. The trim covers
vary a lot, but if you carefully preserve your old ones, it shouldn't
be to difficult to put them on the new latches. (The pivot on
the inner side of the seat is a static shoulder bolt.)
