I purchased grey carpet from classic industries and installed it. The car sits outside, nothing extreme, just outside in the drive way. I noticed a month or so after install that the carpet in the back behind the rear seat (where the sun comes through the back glass) changed colors. It turned a teal/aqua color. I called the company, had to buy new rear section carpet and then send them back the discolored. Installed new new carpet and layed a towel over it. I happend to check it again the other day. It has done the same thing.

So bottom line I cant recommend Classic industries carpet

Classic Industries sells ACC carpet, which is known to fade badly. This is the same carpet that most big places sell (Classic Industries, Year One, Hawks, F-body Motorsports, 1AAuto, etc). I used to sell it until the carpet in the back of my GTA faded, so now I carry a much better brand that doesn't fade like that. If you want more info, please PM me.

I am also replacing the interior of my 1988 gta and would like to know more about the better carpet that you handle. What is it made out of, is it one piece for the front and one for the rear as per factory, and the always important cost. Thanks TOCOSO

Your best bet will be to PM him for more information, as he requested.

I'm not happy to see that the year one carpet will fade. I've had that in my car for about a year and haven't noticed anything, of course it's been in my garage 99.9% of that time, lol. I guess it's time to get a rear tint.

The same thing happened to my ACC carpet in the back of my GTA, which is exactly why I don't sell that brand anymore.

I can vouch for the carpet that Jim85Iroc sells. It's very nice stuff. I got the CAMARO floor mats from him as well.
