Door fabric?
Does anyone know where I can find the velor fabric used on the door panels and seats of 86-92 firebirds? I am looking for black. Thanks!

did you try a local fabric shop? some guys on here just went to the fabric shops and custom ordered it. even came with the glued on foam backing.

ya, well they usually sell by the yard, and its folded in half usually too so you get a yard X 2yards. and fabric is pretty cheap too, only a couple buks. mayb the fabric back stuff might cost more but still...under 10 buks to fix 2 door pannels is awesome.

Axle/Gears: huh?? guessing stock.
I just bought some 1/8th inch foam and then some tan leather to recover mine. total cost was 35 bucks for 3 yards of the stuff. should be enough to do 4 doors. Im thinking of doing the doors, center console, sails, and then see what I got left.

I was thinking of doing leather too, but I wanted to try and keep it as original as possible. However a leather center console would be pretty cool. I used to work with that stuff back in my car stereo install days. Just use steam to get it to mold tight around the curves.
