I just want to share. That was the interior of my 1987 IROC-Z, the previous owner had done this real wood interior. I did not mind it at the time, it was very unique. The car got stolen from my driveway and found a year later completly disguised with an ugly paint brush design, the wood interior was obviously gone. It was my first 3rd gen, I still miss it sometimes.

 

here is my 82...currently trying to finish up but this is waht i got so far...

 

not much to look at i still want a B&M shifter and my front seats are torn up i wanna find a set of seats from a 79-81 mustang cobra with the netted headrests

I installed a cargo lid this weekend. I already had the lid from a parts car
and i just got the cargo plastic from ebay.

I installed it upside down

 

I made mine out of white pvc pipe and installed Autometer Bow-Tie logo'ed gauges.



Not sexy but redone clean and stock looking. Just what a sleeper should look like.

 

Got mine on ebay as I didnt want the carbon fiber look as that all summit has. Take a look and you will find them there for sure

 

heres the interior of my 92 camaro, it needs a new carpet and dash but the rest of the parts are near mint from and 89 rs i found in a junkyard

 

Here's mine after I had the seats recovered in leather and replaced the carpet... interior is now almost 100% complete.

 

Those look a hell of a lot better than those guage pods. Good work

 

where did you get your cage?

 

i bought the main hoop pre bent from s&W racecars. it was cheaper to buy it than to pay truck frieght for tubing. ordered a pile of 8ft sticks for the rest, since it could be shipped ups cheaply. friend of mine builds rock crawlers and he come over and helped me bend it all up.

 

I reallylike how tight it fits.

 

Originally silver, we asked our GM dealer to match the bowling ball hubcaps to the color of the body exterior paint... they did a great job.

really intrested in this thread but feeling to lazy to look through it all has anybody posted a TA with a in dash screen type of deal like a 8 or 9 inch screen in the radio pod if anybody could direct me it would be a great help

 

 

Here is a pic of my interior, a bit dirty sorry.... And the driver side lower skin just separated so I need to replace that. But happy with the seats overall!

 

Your interior looks great jliroc! loving the corvette seats, what year corvette did the seats come from and did they bolt right up or did you have to modify anything to make them work.

 

update
we rebuild the old vinyl doorpanels,roof and console with even newer white vinyl.
we also added in some 4th gen anniversary camaro white seats.

 

on the outside the car got a complete new paintjob with the striping painted on it.
from hawks thirdgen we got brand new
new nose emblem.
new ground effecs emblems
new wheelcaps
new door lock sliders
new inner and outer doorhandles
you can also see the sunvisor deletes installed in one of the pics. ( also from hawks )

 

still just a old hot rod

 

a bit dusty...but hey.. its almost 22 years old.with factry floormats still like new..
