i just made a thread about this maybe 2 weeks ago, do a search for my user name for thread titles and it should pop up on the appearance board....probably 30 replies with pics
I had 20% on mine up til about a month ago, when i scratched it all up putting in the power window regulators.
20 looks really good, but you have to see how strict your state is with enforcing those laws. I had mine on for 10 years, and got pulled over a couple times, but never got a ticket for it.
I now have 20% on the 4Runner, and it looks great on it too.
I think 5 (or limo tint) is just too dark, night driving seems dangerous too.

I have 35% on my car and it's perfect. I need to get it redone sometime since the rear defroster made the rear tint bubble at the top (once I noticed that I stopped using the defroster and it hasn't gotten any worse), the top corner of the driver side door glass is slowly peeling, and I put a nice 7" scratch in the passenger side when I did the power window swap. I may get the hatch a little darker than the sides though.

Mine has 15% all around. I've had 20% in the past and this doesn't seem as dark to me but looks good with the black on black theme.

I got 35% on the side windows and 15% on the rear hatch which is the legal limit in FL. I thought it was darker in FL but it isnt. Its good though, it looks really nice.

Im not sure what % tint this is, but it can't be legal. Purchased the car with it, i love the way it looks and how no one can see who's driving, it's super dark and even if the car behind me has it's brights on, you barely notice it.

I had tint done to my previous car. It was 20% all around and it was just pitch black. I talked to the guy at the shop since I thought it was too dark. He told me they used metalic tint and that it reflects light thus making it look darker than it really is.
From the inside it was dark too.
So, I think your best choice would be going to the limit in your state.
Also shop around for your tint. The stuff I had was really good quality, plus it came with lifetime warranty. All for 120 bucks.
