Anyone know any history on the dash pouches & when/what years were plain w/ no "bird" logo; when started using logos on them? Looking to replace my worn-out/cracked one but want to make sure I'm staying original? My current one is grey leather w/ no logo, but may have faded or been replaced over time?
Anyone have any pics of theirs on their original '82 TA? Would be appreciated!

I'm pretty sure the 1982 cars had plain pouches with no logo, I have seen a few, and all were plain, and mostly they were black vinyl (at least on the Tan/Black cars).

I'm not sure when they switched to a logo, but I can tell you the pouch that I have came out of a wrecked 1984 black and sunburst striped T/A and it has the yellow Trans Am and bird logo.

I havn't seen the 83 pouches in my scavenging so far, so I dunno if they are plain or have a logo.

 

if I remember when I get home, i'll see what I have. I think it has the bird logo.
I also have a map pouch from another 3rd gen (forget the year), sitting elsewhere in my garage. Both are black.
