Cutting Holes in ABS Headliner who has done it?

I assume guys have done this and I wanted to ask what is the best method to go about it without making the wrong cut by accident.

I have my old headliner which I was thinking I could cut along on the new one. Or should I make a template of the overhead console and use that?

Maybe there is a tech article that someone has written about it, maybe you can point me in the right direction.

Also I have read that some people have problems with the DOME light hole being cut out wrong in the mould. Is this correct? I bought my ABS healdiner from Classic Industries and since I live in Australia I hope it is spot on because I don't know how I will go about getting a refund if I find out that the headliner is not spot on.

Its pretty easy to cut the holes because the plastic part of the headliner is alreay cut all you got to do is cut the material and glue it back, You should understand it better when you get the headliner it also comes with directions. About the dome light issue when the cut the plasitc of the headliner the cut it backwords so if you have the map lights like I did and dont want to cut the headliner any more then you have to just put a regular dome light on it and mount it backwords. heres some pics that should help you out, there for a t top car but if you have a hard top it should be close to the same.

sorry about the size I dont know how to make it smaller

Not strictly on the same subject but what did freight cost you and did the liner ship okay. I need to get one to NZ and was quoted around NZ$400 to ship (not by Classic Industries, this was a US company that specializes in headliners etc) plus the cost of the headliner. Did you look at the headliner kits USGMSERVICE PARTS have in Sydney? They list at $400 plus freight.
