I'm looking for a good cleaner & color restoring product.
Hello, I have a 1992 Camaro that I am restoring back to new for my son. I bought it new in Aug of 1991. I love this car and have almost 300,000 miles on the clock. The engine still runs like a champ and the tranny is still strong.
Anyways, to the point of my question. I am trying to clean up the black interior parts. I have gotten my armrests really clean, but they have faded in some parts. I just can't seem to get them black again. Does anyone know of a product that I can use that will bring back the color? I used Mothers Back to Black, but it didn't work. Please help me out, they are in great condition. They just need there black color back. Thank you.

Use a spray die on them. Just make sure to clean them really well before you do and they will look like new and last a long time. If you don't clean them well the die will wear off fast.
Where do I get this spray die stuff? Who makes it? They are clean. I know what you will probably say, but I used WD-40 first. Amazing stuff. Then I used Simple Green to get rid of all of the oil. Did that several times. Then I washed them with dish soap. They are very clean. You can just see the fading in the little design.

Ask your local auto supply. Most of them carry it in spray cans. Follow the directions on the can and you should be good. And yes it sounds like they are clean. lol The last step I use in cleaning it alcohol and water in a spray bottle.

Eastwood sells a lot of restoration products and dyes. Although dyes work for some things, wear might be considered natural, considering the age.
