R.i.c.e.r seats?

When I first got my car, it had a tan interrior. I wanted the interrior to be black so I've slowly swapped out all the pieces. I had originally 4th gen Camaro seats (that were dark gray/charcoal with red in the middle), but while at the boneyard, I came across a car and looked inside and saw some of the best racing seats. The car didn't have any sort of identifying marks. No make no model. It was definitely rice though, the seatbelts said "Turbo" along with anything else on the panel and had the stock boost gauge. Anyway, I got these leather seats and thought they'd look great on the Trans Am, specially with the t-tops off. But the main reason I got them is because everything is adjustable, I mean, everything. The height, the seat, lumbar, even the "panels" that hold in your torso/ribs can be opened wider or closed tighter. I looked around the seats and finally found "Mitsubishi" stapped on them. They need a good cleaning, but what do you guys think? I don't think it was that bad of a deal for $30...

ps. those 4th gen Camaro seats are now for sale...really cheap....

The headrests look really cheap, and kinda ricy, but the rest of the seat is pretty damn good. Im curious to know, how you fit them to the floor. Any modifications?

They don't look in the best of condition, but they actually look pretty good.

Yeah, actually thats exactly the car, except it was white and had a body kit... They are a bit heavy, but I think its worth it, I drove all day today and found myself taking corners a bit faster just because I knew I'd stay in place. To bolt them to the floor and have them functional (in other words, having access to the back seats) I used the original seat tracks from the original tan T/A seats. I was lucky that the rear two bolts that held the Conquest tracks were EXACTLY the same length as the bolts on the T/A tracks, the front two were off by about 1in. So what I did is buy a long, flat piece of aluminum and bolted that between the two front bolts under the seat. Then I drilled two holes (appropriate spaced length, of course) and bolted the T/A tracks to the aluminum bar. Here is a diagram...Quite simple actually...

----------
I'm getting 4pt racing seatbelts to go along with the seats. I've been "touching up" the seats with parade gloss black shoe polish. It covers up the minor blemishes and gives it a nice, non-fake, shine...all this with plenty of elbow grease, of course!

I'm in the military and prefer Lincoln shoe polish myself. However, my shoes are CONSTANTLY getting scuffed. I have no idea how long that will last on car seats.

Good Luck, and the seats look great!
