Driver's Side seat tilt Question.
Okay. I've got a 91 camaro RS that i got about 2 months ago and i've been going down a list of all the things to fix in it. The driver's side seat, when pushed back to where you sit in it won't lock and it can be pulled forward with ease even though you don't pull the little black handle on the back left side of the seat. So I need all the help i can get.

Are there any wrecking yards in your area? Do you want to keep 3rd gen style seats in the car?

The seat mechanisms are equipped with inertia locks just like the seat belts that will only lock in a hard braking situation, or if you are parked with your front end downhill.
You should be able to lean them forward without the tab 98% of the time, it's mentioned in the owner's manual.
Long story short, they aren't really broken, my brother bought a 1990 RS new from the dealer, and his seats didn't lock when new. My 1988 FB doesn't lock either it's just how their designed. they will only lock in the above situations.
