Speedometer problems

91 camaro RS V8. Sometimes it does'nt work at all mostly when I leave my home then after about 5 miles it starts up then it stops again then starts up. If I'm on the highway it will work the all the time. Any ideas ?

Hmm kind of a weird question but have you installed any gauge overlays? I installed some and it causes mine to stick sometimes where I gotta hit the dash. I was just thinkin this cause on the highway acceleration quicker could get the needle up, but im not real sure. Hey I bumped your thread up at least. Good luck with that though, someone should know.
