I dont know if a 4th gen boot fits or not, but you can try this place, seems like they have a ton of applications, and pretty custom stuff too.

I've tried fitting a 4thgen manual boot on a thirdgen, but it didn't fit. It was very close, but the 4thgen boot is smaller, making it very hard to stretch around the thirdgen's shift boot ring. And if you do get it stretched around the ring, then when you put everything back together you'll find that it's so tight you won't be able to move your shifter up or back.
Too bad, too, because the 4thgen shift boots were much nicer than ours.
But it appears that company makes boots for any make, model and year, including thirdgens. Looks like the boots come with matching stitching, but they do "custom shift boots," too. So if you want a different color stitching, they'll do it. Seems like it's worth checking out.

I actually am currently contacting them about getting a shift boot, e-brake boot, and also a cover for the console lid. It is sounding good right now.
What i also like since i have a short shifter they can make the boots smaller so it looks a lot better and functions better.

Because it's nearly impossible to find leather shift boots for thirdgens, other than having one custom made by an upholstery shop, I gave Redline a try(above link).
The boot is nice! I can't verify the fit yet, but it looks to be of the correct dimensions and shape, so I'm anticipating a good fit.
I ordered charcoal leather with matching stitching, and the color is a near-perfect match to the Firebird's stock leather shifter ****. I've gone through a lot of color samples at upholstery shops, and that stock color is a hard one to match. So I'm very happy about this!
You can get them in just about any color leather with any color stitching. You can also order them made "shorter" for a better fit with a shorter sticks. I got mine 1" short for my Pro 5.0 stick.
*Edit: But to make the boot shorter, it appears they just cut-down the top of it without narrowing the diameter of the opening back to the lever diameter. So the neck fits too loosely on the shift lever. I think having it made only 1/2" shorter would be the most it should be shortened and the best fit for all applications.*
They're made-to-order in, and shipped directly from, Poland. So it takes about a week to make, then takes about another week for shipping.
Gotta love the smell of new leather!
I'll post this in the "Product Review" board too.

Re: Manual shift boot from 4th gen
I know the guys on the Maxima boards ( my daily driver is a Maxima ) all have great thigns to say about Redline stuff. One of the owners is very helpfull and posts over there with new specials and what not. They seem to have excellent customer service and are willing to try and accomodate car enthusiasts with new products.
I actually had the same idea as Steveo with seeing about getting a console cover made.. but doing the finishing touches on the interior of my Camaro is waaaaaay off in the distance so I never got around to it.
I'd bet if there was enough interest they would be willing to add it to their product line, and let's face it.. how many thirdgen Camaros DON'T have a cracked console cover?
