car got broken into...need help

so my car got broken into and the bastards stole 2 amps that didnt really work and the faceplate off my cd player. that doesn't bug me too much cause they didn't work and needed to be replaced anyway.

but my problem is that they tore my interior rearview mirror off and in doing so the wire that it was connected too sort of ripped up the edge of my ceiling apolstery(sp?) along the edge along the windsheild. anyone have any idea how i can fix this? the carpet stuff has been pulled out along the edge near the wire and whatever harder material (feels like cardboard haha) has about a 3 inch rip in it.

thanks for the help.

Sounds like you are going to need a new headliner board and material to cover it. New they are near 200.00, try yo find one used. There is also a really good write up on this site somewhere on how to repair the board using fiberglass. I did mine that way and WOW WOW WOW that was a great idea. Good luck. I hate thieving little punks. My g/f just had her cd palyer stolen 2 nights ago. It won't accept a cd neway, just spits it back out like a baby spits out peas. So they can have it.

If you need a headliner get a ABS one from Hawks its worth it. I have had mine for almost 1 year and its holding up.

if you have a t-top car then watch out... the whole top edge of my black hawks headliner is now almost white from sun bleaching after 15 months of ownership. and my t-tops are almost never off, plus they're tinted lexan that is all crazed and lets almost no light through.
