Weather stripping?
Does anyone make complete kits? I need to replace all my weather stripping on my 84 ta.
Re: Weather stripping?
complete kits... several companies sell complete kits that are aftermarket. not everything is still available from gm unfortunately. i'm not completely fluent in ta's but i am sure it's similar to the camaros. check ebay to find companies like soft seal that make complete kits. dont' waste your time going through ecklers or the other larger companies as they sell the same product uner their name and charge you more. unless it's gm don't pay a fortune for it.

If you can't get some pieces at a reasonable price or not at all, a good way to fix up rubber and rubber seals is easy and inexpensive. Pick up some RV ultra black silicone and some masking tape. squeez out a generous amount onto the deformed rubber and cover it with the tape. Peel off the tape and carve away any rough areas with a razor blade. youll probably need a couple of coats, but it works great and lasts a long time. Mine has been on for a couple of years and still looks good. make sure you use the tape because it will keep the surface smooth. if you dont, cutting away at the excess is too hard to make a smooth look. Try fbodymotorsports.com if that isnt going to work- they have a lot of rubber.
