will the console from an 85 camaro work in an 88 Firebird.

Not a direct bolt in, but a few people have made them fit

I agree, not a direct bolt in, but it can be done. Any particular reason you want an older Camaro center console? People usually upgrade (no offense Camaro guys)

I have to agree that a Camaro console will bolt in with some extra work but wouldn't be my first choice in a 'Bird.Have you considered even a 4th gen console that way you get built in cup holders as a bonus.
