Re: fuse problem

you really should not do that, unless you want an electrical fire.

if you are blowing fuses, it is because there is a wire shorting out, acc fuse controls your dome lights and radio and several other systems.

get yourself a book (haynes is fine) and try to hunt down the short, it's the only way to fix your problem.

I seem to remember that autozone.com offers some free wiring diagrams, so you might want to check that out.

Re: fuse problem

i would try and find the short before i heat it up and burn a connector or wire by doing the foil thing, unhook some of things on the acc circuit, does it have and aftermarket stereo ?if so i'd start there

Re: fuse problem

Yeah, that's a bad idea to do if the fuse is blowing. If it continually blows, then there's something wrong with the circuit. Removing the fuse will just make whatever problem you have worse and is very unsafe. find out everything that is on that circuit and remove things one by one until it doesn't blow, or trace all wires and look for the problem. A real common reason for blown fuses stems from the cigar lighter, not sure if it's on that circuit or not. Try removing it and see if that helps.
