Will a driver side seat track work on the passenger side?
I have another power seat track and I was wondering if there is a way to make it work on the passenger side. I know the switch trim won't work but I'm just curious and I don't want to pull my seat out to find out. Thanks!

Well first off the trim and the buttons would be facing into the center console so that wouldnt work.
Looking at the bottom of a driver seat track vs pass seat track...the brackets are "offset" to the side they belong to. So a driver seat track would probably be shoved into the center console / floorboard.

That's what I thought. I need to sell this anyway, I need to get some better braking power.

If you grind the rivets off the back monting brackets & make your own pair that face outward you may be able to swap the seat track. You will also NEED to make them shorter.Since the power track is taller than the manual track.I did this with a 97 T/A maual seat track that pivots the forward portion of the seat up/down.Its not power, but it is taller. So i made my own mounting brackets that are no taller than 1/2 inch.Seat is slightly higher than stock, but only by an inch at most.As for the switch. On my 97 T/A seats i kept the original driver side power track, but the original switch assembly was waaayyyyy to bulky. So i went to the junkyard & scored one from a ford tauras. Its very low profile.I mounted it on the center console side(already have power lumbar switch on the other side)plastic trim. With some cutting of the plastic trim & the steel plate that the trim mounts to.The switch works great & clears just fine.Hardest part was cross-referencing the wiring.
