Color Change Question

Hello Everyone,
Is their anyway to change the color of a headliner through the use of dyes or paint and still make it look great? I ask because a friend of mine recently changed his interior from gray to black but his headliner is practically new (he recently got it recovered at a shop) and it is gray. Was curious if anyone here ever did anything like that and if so how did it come out?

Thank you

Re: Color Change Question

i would expect a general fabric dye to work. If possible, look for something recommended for felt and try it out in a spot that is covered by a plastic trim piece.
