new steering wheel

new steering wheel

i was wandering if you could putan aftermarket wheel on a 92 camaro i dont like messing with that airbag since the wheels already out and my horn buttons are broken soo i dont know if aftermarket wheels have a horn or not and if they even fit?

You CAN put it on. Horns come with after maket wheels, its basically a simple spring loaded switch. You have a wire going to a metal ring usually, and the center of the horn button has a spring pushing up on it. When u push the button, the metal contacts on the horn touch the ring, completing the circuit and the horn goes off.

If you ever work on removing a steering wheel, push the seat ALL the way back, and dont sit directly in front of the wheel. It may kill you. The safest way is to pull the column out and remove it that way. Ive heard its usually a YELLOW wire. Dont mess with it.
