Still having trunk problems :(

I got in my new poly bushings from TDS (Very good service BTW) and installed them upon recieving them. They fit in really well, but my motor isn't strong enough to push the whole assembly up to the top. So now, in order to close my trunk I have to lift up on the trunk locking assembly. Would a new motor fix this problem, or am I digging myself a new hole?

how do you know the motor is not strong enough? With the trunk open, are you able to make the motor operate? Do you mean you have to help the motor come to the top before you close your hatch?

Yea, I have to assist the motor in order to get it to the top. It opens fine, but I have to keep off my plastic trim, and it looks like hell.

Did it just start doing this or have you been having trouble with it for a while? any wiring issues that you have tried to resolve? has it ever been replaced before?
