headrest removal
I have some fourth gen seats that I want to recover but I can't get the headrests to come off the seatback on my thirdgen or fourthgen seats. Has anyone ran into this problem before and if so how did you take them off?

Re: headrest removal
ok I got the thirdgen style off with a breadknife jammed down the slot, however the fourth gen style has two rails and no slot so I'm kinda stuck again.

Re: headrest removal
4th gen's have a spring like wire clip around the bottom of the plastic peg they slide into. Unless you have the special tool from GM, you will have to remove the rear plastic piece at a minimum. You might have to remove the hog-rings from the upper portion of the rear cover as well, but if you are recovering it you will have to anyway.
