if it aint broke......... dont fix it!
my vents dont work right anymore! (front/defroster/feet)
i know that my vaccum lines are fine because when i remove them from the unit in the dash, and connect vaccum manually, the vents all work perfect.....
there are 2 pieces that the hoses plug into, the right hand side controls the vents, and the left hand side controls the hot/cold
i've actually been tyring to figure this out for a while, i took mine apart and now i cant get it to work how it used to...... i took it apart because there was a piece of plastic broken and i wanted to see how it worked
has anyone had this problem with these stupid vents???

Nearly everyone
. Often the vac control valve is the culprit (the piece with the 'fingers/nipples' in the following pic:

It usually happens when the factory radio is removed and an aftermarket raido is installed. I think the vac line get disconnected when reinstalling the radio.

I was able to find a replacement at Carquest a few months ago (part #207708). I think they had it under "vacuum control valve" or something similar.

I've never had any luck with a Carquest web site - I've always had to go to an actual store. I don't know if they sell over the internet, but it might be worth calling them to see. Other parts stores probably stock these as well, it's just that I usually go to Carquest.

were you under the dash just before this happened? getting the hoses hooked up is a biach. do you still hear the fan? if you do its probably the vent hookups and not the controller.
