Re: Warming up new carpet?
If you need it in tonight you have a dilema, maybe stuffing it in your dryer and giving it a few minutes would do the trick. I always layed it out in the sun for a few hours to loosen it up.

Re: Warming up new carpet?
Do you mean the back bottom part or the back top part?
The bottom part on my car was extremely easy, I just put it in place and put that one bolt through and tightened it.
If it is the top piece it is way easier to put in with the brackets attached to the seat and put that bolt in from the bottom. I am not good at explaing things, there is a torx bolt and a 10mm bolt. It is easier to have the bracket attached to the seat with the torx bolt and when actualy putting the seat in the car tighten the 10mm bolt.
Of course the firebird interior could be different, I dont know.

Re: Warming up new carpet?
The backrests should bolt right in. If the bracket is bent, you should be able to tweak it a bit with a large pair of pliers. For the bottoms, they can be tough to get the bolt lined up properly. I usually use an awl to locate and center the hole through the carpet before attempting to insert the bolt.
