I'm sorry if this comes off like an idiot question, but how do you change the little round bulb that points downward over the radio and heater/AC controls? I can't figure out how to get it out.

If you are referring to the bullb that illuminates the heater/ac/fan controls, you 1st have to remove the 4 torx head screws that hold the face plate over the radio face & heater/ac/fan control. If you have trouble removing it because it is sticking at the bottom, you may also have to loosen (not remove) the shifter plate bolts. Once you have the face plate off, there are 4 hex head screws, you need to remove, holding the heater/ac/fan control. Once removed all you need to do is pull the control out about 2 inches to access the bulb at the right side, "twist" it out of the housing. Unplug the bulb insert a new one (test to ensure it works) .

Fortunately, A LOT is already off as we were doing some other work in there, so the dash, the trim and all the buttons (trunk, defogger, etc) are out of the way. The little round nub with the bulb is out in the open, so it's a cinch to get to. I just couldn't get it out! We'll give this a shot this weekend.

Do you mean the one just under the center vent? Two hex bolts hold that guy in.
