OK, there's three harnesses under the hood: lights, accessory, and ecm. I take it you scrapped more than just the ecm harness?

Re: Gauges Help....I searched

The ecm harness comes out the pass side kick panel area, up the backside of the fenderwell and then goes to all of the computer related sensors. The accessory and light harnesses both connect to the firewall near the brake booster. There is two halves to the harness side of the connector, one for lights, one for accessory. The accessory harness will have the connectors for starter, dist tach/batt, AC, oil pressure sending unit, coolant temp sending unit and a coupler other things. It sounds like you need an accessory harness and related sending units. Does your gas gauge work?

Re: Gauges Help....I searched

It won't read right with the v8, so it will need swapped or replaced with aftermarket.

Re: Gauges Help....I searched

'82-'89 you just unscrew the gauge trim, unscrew the v6 tach and reassemble with a v8 tach.

Was going to say that too. Your local junk yard may have an 82-89 maro with gauges still intact for fairly cheap.

Re: Gauges Help....I searched

got a little nervous there reading the last few posts,
I have an 84 that I'm saving up to have a 350 put in.

I Just got done putting in a 92 dash and cluster into it, and then I saw that the gauges might not work after the engine swap I about threw up

Glad to know that they can still work after doing the engine swap.. (lol)

Provided the tach is in good working order, yes.
