Aftermarket seats?
Aftermarket seats?
Well, I sold my mint grey seats and am looking into aftermarket seats. What do you all suggest? I'm looking for black or mostly black seats and at a somewhat decent price. Well, I'm not looking for the most expensive ones anyway. Got pics? Not really looking for 4th gen seats either. Not looking for a drag seat either.

Re: Aftermarket seats?
I wanted some nice aftermarket seats, but I realized that I had no idea what I was going to do about the seatbelt loop, and I didnt want to bolt it to a new seat...

Re: Aftermarket seats?
I just got a set of seats from http://www.arizenracingsports.com/pa...zen/CTGY/Seats
They were very reasonably priced and fit and look great. They also have the option for adding the seatbelt loop.

Karps those seats are very nice. Do you have pics of them installed? Are they normal height inside the car? Did you need special brackets? I hear some aftermarket seats raise the height one-two inches.

Re: Aftermarket seats?
Unfortunately, I don't have decent pics of them installed yet. All of my plastic panels are out the car being wrapped. What's nice is they offer matching covers for the rear seats, so if you do a 2-tone color combination you can have the rear seats matched. Which was really important to me.
This is the best I have for pics right now

Anyways, sitting in the car with the T-tops on, I don't think they are any higher then the 4th gen seats I replaced. Arizen offers brackets that fit pretty nice and IMO are pretty low.

That's more like it.
Tell me, what options did you dial up? Heaters? Massage?

What about other parts? Did you have to order the mounting brackets too?

Re: Aftermarket seats?
No heater or massage. I'm not that much of a baller. I got them an extra 1" wider, which they fit me perfectly. I was pretty reluctant to order seats without ever sitting in them. Especially since I'm a bigger guy. They were also setup so I can use my original 4th gen seat belt loops.
And I used their brackets. Only complaint with the brackets was there were no instructions. So I ended up experimenting with the install about 3 times, before figuring it out. A smarter person might have gotten it right on the first try.
The rear seat covers fit perfectly.
All total shipped to me it was between $1300-1400. Which probably seems like a big number. But if you price out just what a Katzkin seat cover set costs, you're half way there and then some. Or if you look at like a Corbeau seat you'd spend that just for the 2 seats and not have the rears matching. Which to some it may not matter.

Karps, those seats and rear covers look awesome!!! Definately looks great. I think I'm also going to go this route. I have a grey/black theme now so this will work well.

Re: Aftermarket seats?
search ebay you may find what your looking for. I found these two seats as a pari for $230. Shipping was around $100. They are from JDM sport and I like them because they are all black with no labels. This is a pic of them mocked up in my iroc, the main hoop is alittle to tall...but this is just a mockup. I bought some 5point simpson harnesses for $100 on summitracing.com.

Arizen offers the matching rear covers.
I haven't had any real seat time in them yet besides just sitting in the car. But so far they feel great. I'm a pretty big guy and they fit me perfectly. Worlds better then the 4thgen Camaro seats I had.
