SEATBELTS??
As many of us know the third gen seat belts SUCK!!! My belts did not retract/or lock so in the event of an accident I'd be eating steering wheel/ my passenger would be taking flying lesson. SO I put in Simpson racing belts....No stupid crotch strap...the belts are over-kill but I needed something to work. My concern is this. When I mounted them I put angle iron across the back fastening holes for the seats and mounted the belts to the angle iron. The lapbelts secure at factory mounts.
HONESTLY....i don't think the angle iron idea is safe...if I added reinforcement to those mounts for the seat would that help..my other options are to have a bar welded into the car, across the back of the seats...I DON"T want to cut up anything like that in the interior....and I DO have people sit in the rear seat???
ALSO...like any other camaro..my seats DO NOT lock into position....so even w/ the belts on I could still make a meeting w/my steering wheel in the event of a crash. Does/is there a way to have the seat back "lock" into place?? Or was that a factory thing??

IS THERE A SITE/PLACE THAT SELLS FACTORY BELTS??

Re: SEATBELTS??
There was a sticky showing how to replace them with fourth Gen seat belts. Do a search and you should come up with it.
