Int Plastics... Paint or Fabric?

I have black interior & I want it beechwood...

I have yet to get an SEM paint card to match the correct color, but I know if I were to repaint, I would use their product...

But my other choice, is cover in some kind of material... tweed, etc...

I have seen a few pics here and there of some thirdgens that had fabric / material over their plastics, can you guys post some more?

Any pros & cons of the two... I'm leaning towards the material / fabric... Car is not daily driver...

I really like the look of fabric on the plastic panels it makes the car look much less... cheap and plastic-ey. I would consider leather or swede as it may look even better. pics at the end of the project.

There is a Firebird with a tan (Beechwood?) interior at the Pick-a-Part near me. I need a couple of black interior parts- can we work out a swap?

My black pieces are in very nice shape considering my car has been / is garage kept... I've seen some sun beat plastics, I would rather stick with what I have...

Did you remove the factory nose and installed a K.I.T.T nose. I cant tell from the pic. I think a vinyl or leather rap would like nice if it was done correctly.

The avatar on the left is the factory gm 91 nose...
The signature pic, yes it has a KR nose...
I actually sold that & am getting one like the one below within the month... (it will have the black outs though, unlike the pic)...

I have this same exact dash, though not in car yet...

I like the acoustic deadening of soft fabric as opposed to vinyl or leather...

Re: Int Plastics... Paint or Fabric?

NICE, Im doing a K.I.T.T replica also but only the exterior. No budget at all for the inside. Im not sure what nose Im doing. Removing the GFX also because I just hate them. Im going to paint the car, and Im using 91 GTA wheels with the center part that is gold which will then be black and if I can find a nose for under $500 painted and shipped I will buy it in a heart beat, but to find one. Bout a month ago someone had one for $450 shipped and I lucked out and someone else bought it.

The pictured nose is from Wraith Innovations...

If you're dead set against the GTA gfx, I understand, but Ken also makes a nose with GTA FX incoorporated that looks amazing. It kind reminds me of Knight Rider / Ferrari, you have to see it, it looks sweet.
Drop him a note and ask him for pics of the GTA KR Nose if you like...

He has great prices too, though a long waiting list, he is an amazing artist.
